President of Senior Placement Services
Has served in the senior healthcare industry for more than a decade. Tim entered the field as a sales counselor for Brookdale Place University Park, then Somerby St. Vincent’s 119. In 2013, Tim joined Always Best Care of Birmingham (ABC) as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. During his five year tenure, Tim helped ABC achieve one of the highest growth rates in the nation. During the course of his career, Tim has helped more than 3,000 families find the right place and care levels for their loved ones.
Tim attends our Lady of Sorrows Church, where he has served as an usher, eucharistic minister and parish council president. He is also a member of the alumni board of the UAB College of Arts and Sciences, and he recently accepted the nomination to be the new commissioner of Joy League, an independent baseball league for children ages 4-12.
Tim’s hobbies include golf and coaching youth sports. Tim has two children: Laura, 15, and Timothy, 12, both of whom attend school in Homewood.
Monica Luster has been involved in the senior healthcare industry for the past six years, working as a marketing director for Brookdale-Northport and as a senior placement specialist. During her time in the industry, Monica has helped more than 1500 families find the right senior living community and level of care for their loved ones.
Monica attends The Church of The Highlands. She is a member of the non-profit group CAHABA and is also a member of the Birmingham, Tuscaloosa and Anniston/Gadsden chambers of commerce.
Monica’s hobbies include running, working out, cooking, traveling, and time with family and friends. Monica has one daughter, Allie, who recently graduated from Auburn University.
Chris Blackerby is a 20 year veteran of the senior housing industry, all in the Birmingham market. Chris brings a wealth of experience to the Senior Placement Services team. As a licensed Assisted Living Administrator (ALA) he is able to help families make the best care choice for their loved ones. His passion is to help seniors and their families in their search for senior housing placement.
Chris is a graduate of Samford University and is active in many alumni activities. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Assisted Living Association of Alabama, Alzheimer's of Central Alabama, and currently serves on the Alabama Baptist Children's Home Foundation board. He and his wife are active members of Hunter Street Baptist Church where he has served as a deacon, a new member class volunteer, and as an usher. They have one daughter who attends Samford University and live in the Hoover area.
